Are you creating your own luck to get more coaching clients?
There’s a simple metaphor I love for conceptualizing great inbound marketing: Drop more hooks in the water.
A hook is anything you’ve shared with the world that may generate interest in your coaching practice. A LinkedIn post. A blog article. A webinar. A Tik Tok video. A Reddit comment. There’s no shortage of types of hooks to drop or places to drop them.
One of the challenges with landing coaching clients is getting in front of leads at the perfect time. You need to meet folks at moments of peak interest and motivation. Doing that successfully will always involve some element of luck. But you’ll never do it without hooks in the water.
Dropping hooks is a content marketing game. But you don’t need to overcomplicate it. Just listen to your target audience, answer their questions, and search for places to get involved in the discourse. What are their worries? Fears? Concerns? General questions?
Publish content that helps your target audience and you’ll at least have a chance to get some nibbles.
Now, if you want to make it more complicated, I have ideas for you too…
